9Farming Fish

A growing percentage of the seafood available to U.S. consumers is farmed fish. Despite it being possible to sustainably do fish farming, many of them have been produced in ways that threaten human health as well as damage the environment. Any actual sustainable fish farm does not pollute the environment with waste, has low energy usage, and uses little or no wild fish in their feed. A good piece of advice would to buy your farmed fish locally in order to be able to personally take a look at the operation it’s originating from.
