Estate Oven Igniters
Estate is a brand owned by Whirlpool, offering what the company terms an "affordable" line of ranges,
available in 20- and 30-inch designs with sealed, protected burners and 4.65 cubic feet of oven space. It's
top-line Model TGS326VD includes a self-cleaning feature and electronic ignition, with a pair of 9,500 BTU
burners at its most powerful. Estate ranges are available in both gas and electric models.
Estate's History
Whirlpool acquired the Estate brand name in 1955 through its purchase of RCA's cooking range product lines. The
acquisition gave Whirlpool full naming rights, although it didn't actually begin selling the products under the
Estate brand name until 1990.
Troubleshooting Estate Oven Ignitors
There are several possible igniters to replace the Estate model, including parts numbered 3422, 503012 and 1255.
Universal igniters should list one of these models in the replacement indicators.
Warranty Information
Estate branded ovens are covered under Whirlpool's major appliance warranty, which is one year from the date of
purchase. Parts purchased outside of the warranty period through Whirlpool are covered for one year, though many
ignitors are available from other businesses and sites, which have their own warranties.
