Special Features
Vermont Castings grills feature Signature Sear Plates, which, according to the company, "are optimally designed
for heat distribution across the entire cooking surface." Its patented back-lit dials glow orange and make it
easier to cook in the evenings and at night in low-light conditions. The LED Flex Light also permits the user to
see the entire cooking surface, even in low light. Various models include an integrated smoker box, side burner
and rotisserie burner, marinating tray, and/or the Vermont Castings Never-Fail Ignition System.
Troubleshooting Your Vermont Castings Grill Ignitor
If the ignitor doesn't spark, check the following potential causes and maintenance required:

- Electrode is improperly gapped: Make sure the electrode is located one-eighth to three-sixteenth
inches from the burner and well-positioned to spark to the edge of the gas port.
- No clicking from the ignitor module: Confirm that all leads are well-seated in the ignitor
module.
- Wires are disconnected: Replace the ignitor module.
- Electrode is cracked: Replace the electrode.
- Wires melted: Replace the wires.
- Battery dead or wrongly installed: Replace the battery and ensure that the positive end of the
battery is facing down.
