Furnace Ignitor Brands

Armstrong Air Corp.

Armstrong Air is a subsidiary of Lennox Furnace Co. (Lennox International Inc.) and manufactures a full line of gas and oil heaters, as well as coils and air handlers. Armstrong deals primarily with residential applications, though they also produce light commercial furnaces and blowers. They're openly traded on the NYSE with the symbol LII.

Furnace Ignitor Lines

Armstrong Air produces a wide range of products, including heat pumps, oil furnaces, gas furnaces, packaged units and air handlers. Options such as the Armstrong Concord R100997-02 Hot Surface Ignitor and the 41-402 Hot Surface Ignitor HSI provide numerous safety benefits for consumers and are crafted with precise machining methods. Armstrong uses "hot surface ignitor" technology to reduce the chance of accidental ignition and improve safety for home and light commercial needs.

Armstrong History

Armstrong Air began in 1928 as a subsidiary of Lennox Furnace Co. The division was sold in 1957 but repurchased Armstrong once more in 1988. According to Lennox International Inc., the Armstrong name has long been associated with quality, durability and value, for both residential and light commercial applications across the United States and emerging global markets. Again, the company states that since being repurchased by Lennox, Armstrong Air (Allied Air Enterprises) has continued to develop a reputation for industry-leading development, construction, materials and quality in their oil and gas furnaces.

Armstrong's Warranty

All Armstrong furnaces, and many of the associated parts, are covered by warranties of considerable length. For instance, the heat exchanger is covered by a limited lifetime warranty but only in direct vent environments. Other environments are covered by a 20-year warranty. Other parts covered by Armstrong's five-year warranty vary, although the company only offers the initial warranty to the contractor who installs your furnace. This means that you''ll be able to get repairs and replacements through your initial installation company, though it's likely that you'll have to pay for labor involved in the process.
